I love to make a tart for a beautiful dessert presentation. It is a great option because it accommodates any type of fruit that is in season. In this particular case, I chose cranberries because it was around Thanksgiving. I use Pepperidge Farm frozen pastry dough. I am a staunch advocate of never buying pre-made anything - this is the absolute exception! Having watched innumerable cooking shows, even the most esteemed chefs agree that pastry dough is not worth it! (Do not confuse this with pie dough - which I do make from scratch!) Pastry dough is so versatile: It is great for both sweet and savory options. Here is my cranberry tart. Enjoy!
